Madelin Baez, a junior, has received an HSLPS Shout Out for participating and recruiting six other students to attend a free SAT prep course at High Bridge Park. Participating students attend three hour classes Wednesday afternoons. For her efforts, Madelin will receive credit for 20 service hours. Her favorite thing about HSLPS is “how teachers here really care about you and will understand something if you talk to them.” Her advice to students: “do not slack on your class work or your homework because doing it is benefiting you in the future”
Dear School Community-
We have so much to be grateful for at HSLPS. Our terrific students become leaders and active members in their communities and throughout the world. You start here young and maybe a little nervous, but soon you grow comfortable and make HSLPS your school home. Before long, it's time to graduate and we are proud that so many of you continue on to college to continue your journey as life long learners. Your parents are our partners and we are lucky that they are active and diverse members of our community. Your teachers are dedicated, returning year after year to bring their best to your classrooms. Your guidance counselors, college advisor and public service coordinator are committed to keeping you on track and building your story of success from freshman year to graduation and beyond. Your administrators, deans, activity coordinators and all your support staff create a school culture that is positive, safe and innovative. I am honored to be your principal.
All the best
